Gospel Musician Patience Nyarko has charged single male pastors to seek anointed women to marry and resist the temptation of going in for women just because they have big hips and hefty buttoms.
“Please, pastor, if you are not married look for a woman who will be a helper. Don’t be deceived by buttocks or a woman’s wealth. Look for an anointed lady who will support your ministry to save souls for heaven
“The body of the woman counts though [because] if your wife is not beautiful you will be sad always and if you don’t take time even though you are married you will be chasing after women in the church,” she said during the Thursday, 9 November edition of Accra100.5FM’s Live Worship with Kwaku Sampah.
The ‘Eboboba’ singer also called on wives of men of God (Osofo Maame) to help in winning souls for Christ rather than being the cause of the downfall of pastors and churches.
For her, it takes the anointing of God to be the wife of a man of God.
She pointed out that people with the spirit of jealousy, arrogance, disrespect, and pride, among others; do not qualify to marry men of God, adding that: “Most of the pastors’ wives are witches and help in collapsing churches and bringing down the ministry of their husbands”.
In her view, women need certain qualities in order to operate effectively as wives to pastors as the men of God are the mouthpieces of God and “being the mouthpiece of God isn’t something one jokes about”.
She charged women not to be demanding marriage from pastors when they are not prepared to support their husbands’ ministries.
She indicated that women should not go to church because of expectations to marry the pastor but to promote the ministry of God.
“I went to a nearby church where almost all the women wanted to marry the pastor. The man of God got married and all the ladies left the church because he didn’t marry any of them,” she stated.
