Accra 100.5FM’s DJ Bakayako has appealed to all his fans and the general public to vote for him to win awards at the upcoming Ghana DJ Awards event.
He has received three nominations in this year’s Rush Ghana DJ Awards, scheduled to take place on 6 May, 2017 at the Sliver Star Towers in Accra.
DJ Bakayoko was nominated for Best Highlife DJ of the Year, Best Hiplife DJ of the Year, and Best Music Promoter at the launch of the awards at the MJ Grand Hotel at East Legon, Accra.
Speaking in an interview with ClassFMonline.com, he appealed to the public to vote for him by texting his name “DJ Bakayoko” to short code 1736 for him to win in any of the categories he has been nominated.
He is competing in the Best Highlife category with Ike The Unpredictatble of Abusua FM, Candyman of Atinka FM, Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty, Dr J of Kekeli Radio, Peace FM’s Micky Darling, DJ Adviser of Happy FM, and DJ Fada Wiscky of Fiila FM.
In the Hiplife DJ of the Year category, Bakayoko will battle it out with DJ Gadaffi of Citi FM, DJ Pho of Rainbow Radio, DJ Chiefaro of Jem FM, DJ Fletcher of OK FM, DJ Mic Smith of Y FM, Kwame B of Kasapa FM, DJ Slim of Y FM, and Papa Bills of Adom FM.
In the Best Music Promoter of the Year category, the silent DJ will compete with DJ Adviser – Happy FM, DJ Phletch – Peace FM, Jerry Justice – Adom FM, Ike The Unpredictable – Abusua FM, Kwame B – Kasapa FM, DJ X – Royal FM, Sammy Forson – Live FM, and DJ Police – Bryte FM.
DJ Bakayoko plays uninterrupted music on Accra-based Accra FM from 7:00pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and from 10:00am on Sundays.
