Some members of the Delta Force invaded the Kumasi Circuit Court and whisked away 13 of their members who had been arraigned.
The court, presided over by Mary Senkyire, had ordered that 13 of them who had appeared at the Court be remanded and reappear on the 20th of April.
However some aggrieved members of the Delta Force who had gathered at the court took the suspects away, vandalised court property and almost assaulted the judge in the process.
The police at the court had to whisk the judge into her chambers to protect her.
The 13 were on trial for assaulting the Ashanti regional security coordinator, George Agyei, who they said could not be allowed to serve in that capacity given he was not native to the region and did not help in the campaign towards the NPP’s victory in 2016.
