The People’s National Congress (PNC) has chosen Emmanuel Anyidoho, a Harvard-trained economist, as its vice-presidential aspirant for the 2016 elections.
A statement signed and released by the flag bearer of the party, Dr Edward Mahama, indicated that the five-member committee mandated by the National Executive Committee (NEC) selected Mr Anyidoho because “he comes to the table with a lot of experience to complement the exceptional and impeccable record of Dr Mahama”.
Mr Anyidoho has in the past worked with United Nations (UN), the African Union (AU), and the Ministry of Finance and has also lectured at the University of Ghana.
They believe his “humility, grasp of the Ghanaian situation, and his exemplary and visionary leadership” will guide the party to win the 2016 elections scheduled for December 7.
The party said it would schedule a date later for the outdooring of Mr Anyidoho.
