Nigerian singer Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, popularly known in showbiz as Kcee, has advised Ghanaians against selling their vote ahead of the 7 December parliamentary and presidential election.
He also prayed for peace for the country before, during and after the elections.
The Limpopo hit maker in a telephone interview with DJ Premier on Entertainment Capital on Accra 100.5FM, on Saturday, 3 December, said: “God is going to be with Ghanaians, make sure you vote for the right and the best person to take Ghana forward and to the next level. All you need to do is make sure you don’t sell your vote, make sure you vote for the right person, make sure you follow your instincts, no violence, no fighting, let your vote speak for you.”
The award-winning Nigerian artiste disclosed that his wish for a peaceful election in Ghana was because “Ghanaian people are friendly and welcoming. As far as I’m concerned, I see Ghana as the next city in Nigeria, Ghanaians always treat us as brothers. Each time I’m in Ghana I feel like I’m home.”
Kcee is out with a new single called Tender.
