The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) has held its maiden investiture since its establishment five years ago.
Professor Harrison Kwabena Dapaah, who was sworn into office by the university’s council chairman, Professor J. S. K. Ayim, is set to take over the affairs of the institution at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo regional capital.
He will be succeeding the founding Vice Chancellor of UENR, Professor Mrs Esi Awuah.
During his speech at the event, which was held on Thursday September 22, Prof Dapaah promised to do everything in his power to live up to the responsibilities of his position. He also pledged to work closely with all unions and student leaders to ensure peace and harmony on campus to advance the mission of the institution as the foremost university in energy and natural resources.
The outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof Awuah, showed appreciation to her staff and all other workers as well as individuals who made her tenure successful. She promised her continuous support to the institution and also called on the staff and students to support Prof Dapaah to enable him achieve the pillars of his vision.
