The Concerned Leaders of Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District in the Central Region has appealed to authorities to appoint Mr Kofi Asare as the Chief Executive of the district.
The spokesperson for the group, Alex Arthur, has said Mr Asare has over the years demonstrated his understanding of the concerns and needs of the people in the district, hence when appointed as DCE would be able to fix those problems confronting the people.
He told Chief Jerry Forson, host of Ghana Yensom, on Accra100.5FM on Tuesday February 7 that 11 people have been interviewed for the post and out of this number, Mr Asare stands tall because he has served as Deputy General Secretary of the District Development Association.
This association, according to him, has been in charge of lobbying for development projects for the district, hence he will have more space to ensure development for the entre district if appointed as the DCE.
He said: “Eleven people went for the interview in Oguaa to become the District Chief Executive of the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam district, but for us we think Kofi Asare is best placed to be the DCE.
“He has for the past 10 years established himself creditably in the district with his works as the Deputy General Secretary for the District Development Association.
“All those who attended the interview do not know the needs of the district more than Kofi Asare and so for this reason we think he is best fit to be the DCE.”
