Class Media Group (CMG), owners of Accra-based Class91.3FM, Accra100.5FM and No 1 105.3FM, as well as Adehye FM and Kumasi FM in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region and Ho FM 92.5 FM in the Volta Region and CTV, will organise the third edition of the Celebrity Orphanage Easter Funfair on Friday, 19 April 2019 at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park.
The Celebrity Orphanage Easter Funfair event is intended to bring children from selected orphanages in the Greater Accra Region together to socialise and interact with selected Ghanaian celebrities to make them feel loved, entertained and educated during the Easter festivities.
Head of events at CMG, Bismarck Boachie (DJ Premier) told Class News on Thursday, 18 April 2019, that two new orphanages have been added to the six from previous years.
“This year has also been tremendous compared to the previous year. This year we’ve had at least 19 sponsors, we’ve had our listeners also helping by donating. We came to them appealing for help and support so we can also make a change and put a smile on the faces of these children. They’ve done their best, we’ve also put our things together.
“This year we made another addition, by bringing two extra orphanages to add to the existing six we’ve been doing to make it eight so there has been an improvement,” he said.
Mr Boachie also hinted of plans to begin a project worth GHS 100,000 aside from the donation to selected orphanages that have been invited for the programme.
“We are going to have series of competitions including quizzes, games, talent hunts and other stuff and then the orphanage that will emerge winner, we’re going to have a project [for them] worth GHS 100,000 at that particular orphanage,” he stated.
