The Management of Class Media Group (CMG) has thanked the general public for the support they showed toward the company’s Celebrity Orphanage Easter Funfair, which took place at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park on Monday April 17.
The General Manager of CMG, Nana Apeanti, speaking on Ghana Yensom on Accra100.5FM on Tuesday, said: “On behalf of the CMG Board of Directors and the President of the Group, I want to thank all our listeners for the love they showed us during the event. We also thank all the stars who graced the occasion to make it a memorable one. May God richly bless each and every one who contributed to the success of the programme.”
He also thanked all the sponsors of the event – Ayalolo Bus Service, Kenkey Boutique, Edicks Rentals, Lady Pat Supermarket, Chiidima Rental Services, Balona Non Dairy Creamer, Osikani Fitness Agency, and PENSA-Legon – for their support.
During the event, heavily pregnant gospel musician Obaapa Christy defied the scorching sun to entertain the orphans with a live performance. Obaapa Christy, clad in a white dress, was surrounded by the children who danced and sang along to her hit song Hyebre Sesafo.
Present at the event were movie stars Lucky Lawson, Vicky Zugah, among others.
As part of the activities for the day, children from selected orphanages in the Greater Accra Region were taken through health screening and fun games.
The selected orphanages were Teshie Orphanage, Potters’ Village, Chosen Home, Osu Children’s Home, Save Them Young, and Christ Faith.
