MP for Builsa South constituency in the Upper East Region, Hon. Clement Apaak is calling on all Ghanaians to take the laws into their hands and fight Galamseyers in the country.
Speaking in an interview on Okay FM monitored by Voicefmonline.com, the Honorable Member of Parliament says the people of state who were appointed to serve as Public servants which starts from the President, the district Police commander, the Institution and the System has awfully failed Ghanaians.
“We the Citizens, I think it is time we take matters into our hands”
“those who have been appointed to serve as Public servant from the President, the District commanders, the Ministers, institutions, the system and the security services have failed us.”
According to him, almost every major river in the country has been affected by the Galamseyers including the beautiful forest Ghana has.
He further explained that the water bodies have now turned into color brown and poisoning the ground water with mercury and acidic which is going to have effect on Ghanaians not only the people living in those areas alone.
“it’s left to me alone; it is time we the people will take matters into our own hands. Just look at the water bodies, that the color of water has turned to brown which is more than Choco Milo, not one river, not two rivers, not three rivers, almost every major river in this country have been damaged totally”
Hon. Apaak is therefore calling on Ghanaians to standup, take the laws into their hands and fight against the illegal miners for the country to regain its water bodies since government has failed the country in the fight against galamsey.
“the Poisoning is going to have effect on all of us not only those in the mining areas”
