Yaa Van Damme, the American who speaks Twi fluently, has called on all Ghanaians to be appreciative of their culture and race.
According to her, God has a purpose for creating humans the way he did, for which “we all need to appreciate who we are and where we come from”.
Speaking on Ayekoo Ayekoo on Accra100.5FM on Tuesday May 30, she told host Nana Romeo: “Let us all appreciate who we are. I am proud to be an American and also proud of my race, that is how God created me and so I will want Ghanaians to also show appreciation of what and who they are.
“Love the Twi language or whatever local language you are fluent in because that is what God has given to you.”
She added: “I can speak Twi fluently and anybody who doubts that can invite me to MC his or her programme.”
