Chelsea team doctor Eva Carneiro is yet to return to work after being criticised by manager Jose Mourinho.
Carneiro’s role was downgraded after she and head physio Jon Fearn went on the pitch to treat Eden Hazard during the 2-2 draw with Swansea on 8 August.
Chelsea were reduced to nine men – goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois had already been sent off – and Mourinho said the duo had been “impulsive and naive”.
Carneiro is in ongoing discussions with her lawyers.
Chelsea are refusing to comment on what they see as an internal staff matter.
Mourinho was widely criticised after saying his medical team “did not understand the game” but has not backed down.
He said he has an “open relationship” with his medical staff that was “open to disagreement”.
The incident and fall-out will be discussed at world governing body Fifa’s medical committee on 11 September.
Carneiro, who posted on Facebook thanking people for their support, has been with the club for five years.
