The resurgence of erratic power supply (dumsor) is a result of cable fault, state power distributor Electricity Company of Ghana has said.
In a short statement, the utility said it “wishes to inform its cherished customers that there is an interruption in power supply in the western part of Accra due to an accident which led to a cable cut tripping the system at its Mallam Bulk Supply Point (BSP).”
ECG said its “engineers are working assiduously to restore power as soon as possible”.
The company apologised for any inconveniences. In the middle of this year, the power crisis intensified after a lull following fuel supply issues with Nigeria.
