Busy Internet has launched a cutting edge 4G internet service and rebranded with a fresh, colourful identity under a brand new name (Busy) and logo.
The company is offering consumers and businesses an innovative and flexible range of 4G data packages, plus MiFi and Wireless Routers designed to suit every need, all delivered with its customary high quality and personal customer service.
The company says Internet Service Users now stand to benefit more from its relatively innovative products and services at a more affordable cost. Speaking to Joy Business after the launch, the Managing Director, Praveen Sadalage noted this was informed by consumer research data.
“We realized there’s a gap between what the customers are expecting and what the service providers are offering. So we took that feedback and launched these products and services. We’ve brought in the concept of freebies and so you’d not be charged for using You Tube, Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, Ghanaweb or myjoyonline.com plus unlimited and free usage either at Night-Time or at the Weekend” he said.
“The Busy brand purpose is to ‘Enrich Lives Through Connectivity’. There has never been a better time to upgrade to 4G, with MiFi priced from as low as GHC ;99, 4G is more affordable than ever. Busy 4G data bundles range from just 100MB for casual users to 50GB for 4G lovers, with the ability to rollover unused data from one bundle to the next” he added.
The 4G service is currently limited to Accra and Tema. But the Managing Director, Praveen Sadalage explains to Joy Business, plans are already underway to expand the network to Kumasi and Takoradi in the next two years.
Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Communications Minister congratulated Busy for its pioneering role in the evolution of Internet services in the country and impressed on indigenous businesses, the need to take a cue from the company’s exploits.
“For over a decade, Busy symbolized the provision of Internet services in Ghana and I’m particularly encouraged that you have taken your service to the next level to meet the increasing demands of your wide range of clients” This is a lesson for several small scale businesses in the country that from the very modest beginning if you work diligently and apply the necessary rules and principles you would be able to leapfrog. Busy has done it – starting from an Internet café and now a mobile data operator. I expect this to inject much more competition which at the end of the day would inure to the benefit of consumers” he said.
Busy Internet has provided reliable Internet access from its famous Cyber Café on the Ring Road, Accra since 2001. It launched as an Internet Services Provider in 2005 providing high quality services directly to businesses and to consumers at home.
