The National Security Council Secretariat has denied that the Bureau of National Investigations, (BNI) has conducted polls together with a pollsters which predicts defeat for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming November elections.
The Council has emphasized that as and when, a research or investigation of public interest is conducted, it will be put out for public consumption, if the security deem it prudent to do so.
The Daily Guide Newspaper in its Monday July 27 edition and titled “NDC is losing 2016 says BNI Secret Report”. The paper claimed that the BNI survey report gave the NPP 51.85% , while the NDC garnered some 41.52% with the rest going for to the other contesting parties in the upcoming 2016 elections.
A statement signed by Col. EWK NiBO (rtd.) said “the Council wishes to bring to the notice of the good people of Ghana that no such report has emanated from the BNI and assure that the public that the security agencies will continue to live by their mandate and continue to discharge their professional duties to the benefit of all Ghanaians.”
