Ghana is the first African nation to reach the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup to be hosted by India after easing their way into the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals on Wednesday, 18 May.
The two-time U-17 world champions qualified to the last four with a 5-0 win over Gabon.
Guinea are second in the group and need a draw in their final group match against the Starlets to become the second of the four African nations to qualify to India.
Ghana were crowned world champions in 1991 and 1995, and have also finished runners-up on two occasions.
