Ghana’s U-20 female team, the Black Princesses are out of this year’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea after drawing 1-1 with the USA on Monday morning.
The Black Princesses took the lead against their counterparts from the USA in their final Group C match but were pegged back moments later.
Midfielder Ernestina Abambila opened scoring for Ghana with a long range shot before USA captain Mallory Pugh equalised before halftime.
The result means is that coach Didi Dramani’s side finished bottom of the Group and got ejected alongside New Zealand who were beaten 2-0 by second place France.
The United States of America and France progress to the knockout stage.
