Premium water brand Bel-Aqua Mineral Water has been named Water Brand of the Year by the Ghana Manufacturing Awards for the year 2016.
This was after the company beat off competition from other competitive brands like Special Ice, Voltic, Awake Purified Water, and Verna.
This is the second award received by the company this year after it was earlier adjudged Water Brand of the Year in the Global Media Alliance Ghana Beverage Awards held in April 2017.
Exodus Communications, organisers of the Ghana Manufacturing Awards, believe that Bel-Aqua emerged leader in the competitive water industry because of its tremendous commitment to quality standards, clean production ethics, sales growth, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
On behalf of Bel-Aqua, Mr Emmanuel Quist, who is Brands and Corporate Communications Manager of the company, expressed great delight at the honour done the company and was grateful to the loyal customers of Bel-Aqua for their support.
“Bel-Aqua produces water at a pH of 7.5-8.0 through a completely automated process with no human interference. This quality has ensured that the company is able to produce and deliver a standard of drinking water that the health-conscious Ghanaian appreciates,” he said.
The company’s growth has been hinged on innovation, investment in top-notch technology and prompt customer service.
The panel of the Ghana Manufacturing Awards also took cognisance of Bel-Aqua’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. Through the Operation Smile initiative, the brand and its parent company, Blow Chem Industries, have committed a total of $120,000 to the provision of free cleft palate and lip surgeries for over 100 children, an initiative that has improved the lives of the children and their families.
Bel-Aqua in 2016 also accentuated its brand as a poster-child of the Made-in-Ghana drive, committing itself to setting a positive example for its counterpart brands and other locally manufactured products by sticking to strict quality and innovation standards.
The company has supported the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s Made In Ghana drive through financial contributions as well.
