Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has called on Ghanaians to live in harmony regardless of the differences in religious beliefs.
He said the citizenry must continue to live in the “beautiful spirit of friendship, peace and unity so that we further strengthen the existing bond to achieving a common development goal for Ghana.”
Dr Bawumia made the comment at the 7th Annual Maulid celebration to mark the birth of Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) in Walewale on Sunday, 31 March 2019.
Present at the celebration was the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu.
Dr Bawumia further reiterated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s resolve to fulfill his promises to Ghanaians, “and in achieving that no region will be left out. Each area will continue to have its fair share of growth and development.”
