“….the cure is not to describe the man as brainsick or to ask that he should be sent to the Psychiatric Hospital for treatment….the reaction is unwarranted and needless” says the managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako Jnr.
Kweku Baako was speaking to the hullabaloo surrounding President John Mahama’s contender, George Boateng and the comment from the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia that Mr Boateng is mad and needs Psychiatric treatment.
Contributing to a panel discussion on PEACE FM morning show Kokrokoo, Wednesday, the renowned journalist suggested that it is a ‘mismatch’ to compare President Mahama to Mr Boateng because ‘there is no way’ the latter will win.
“….the cure is not to describe the man as brainsick or to ask that he should be sent to the Psychiatric Hospital for treatment….the reaction is unwarranted and needless because the guy is not a competition; he is not competitive…” he stated.
Subsequently, Kweku Baako speaking to the issue again onJoy FM’s Newsfile on Saturday, wondered the difference between Mr Boateng and Madam Akua Donkor.
He said most of the comments of President Mahama’s contender is the same compared to that of Madam Akua Donkor and so he does not understand why NDC communicators are condemning him and praising Akua Donkor.
“What is the difference between what this man says and what Madam Akua Donkor says? Somebody come forward and tell me the difference…to me they are the same but Akua Donkor is praised and so the hypocrisy, double standard is clear…” he added.
