Gold developer Azumah Resources has added 69 000 oz of gold to its Wa project in Ghana, bringing the project’s total resource to more than two-million ounces.
The increase in the resource was achieved through the recently acquired Julie West and Danyawu gold deposits.
“The outcropping Julie West and Danyawu mineral resource, totalling 69 000 oz at 4.4 g/t gold, are expected to provide high-value incremental ounces to Azumah’s existing 624 000 oz ore reserve and enhance the company’s already-advanced plans for the development of an initial seven-year, 90 000-oz/y gold operation,” said Azumah MD Stephen Stone.
The resource from the Julie West and Danyawu resources are likely to be incorporated into a feasibility study update once technical work to bring them into the same status as Azumah’s existing project ore reserve is completed.
