The Ayew brothers- Andre and Jordan are in line to play their first games in the English Premier League when the season opens on August 8.
The two Ghana players made their moves from the French Ligue 1 this summer. Andre joined Swansea City from Marseille as a free agent, while Jordan moved to Aston Villa from Lorient.
On Saturday, Villa are making a trip to the Vitality Stadium to engage new entrants AFC Bournemouth.
Jordan, who was signed to replace the departed Christian Benteke, is likely to be involved in the weekend action against his Black Stars compatriot Christian Atsu, who is on loan at Bournemouth from Chelsea.
The 23-year-old scored twelve goals and amassed five assists for Lorient last season.
Meanwhile, Andre Ayew’s Swansea City will open their campaign with an away assignment against holders Chelsea.
The 25-year-old, who has been tipped to make an impact at the Liberty Stadium, is expected to make Garry Monk’s starting line-up.
Another Ghana player who will be in action this weekend in the English top-flight is Jeffrey Schlupp. The 22-year-old, who was instrumental in Leicester City’s survival in the EPL last season, is expected to feature for the Foxes when they host Sunderland at the King Power Stadium.
The number of Ghanaian players in the EPL could rise to five if Abdul Rahman Baba finally seals a move to Chelsea. The Augsburg left-back has been linked to Jose Mourinho’s side for the past two weeks.
