The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Buem in the Oti Region, Kofi Adams has said the quality of Education in the country has drastically reduced
According to Kofi Adams the New Patriotic Party during their campaign time urged Ghanaians that education is in their heart and they are going to make it perfect.
However, Kofi Adams alleged that the NPP is now threatening headmasters not to come out with the riot in the educational sector
He says the quality of Education has drastically been reduced because the schools mostly use Past questions instead of building proper education that will establish the students very well
He added that if the education is damaged at the lower level, it brings rippling effect on the students.
He further explained that, the government said they have brought new curriculum however the students are still using the old curriculum.
In conclusion, Kofi Adams gave some possible solution that can bring back the quality education in the country by sustaining the free SHS.
However, the Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum says he is disappointed in the MP for Buem Constituency Kofi Adams for involving Education with Politics.
According to him, during the COVID-19 pandemic, students were able to pass their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) as compared to the NDC tenure in office when there wasn’t any pandemic in the country so he does not see the reason Kofi Adams will make such comment about the current Educational sector
