The deputy General secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Obiri Boahen has asked the Executives of the New Patriotic sParty to go apologize to the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) for not allowing them to vote during the just ended National Delegate Conference at the Accra Sports Stadium.
If it will be recalled, TESCON proxy voters numbering about 291 members were barred from casting their vote in the 2022 NPP National Delegates Conference.
This is the result of an injunction that was served on them.
This was made known to the delegates on Saturday by the Chairman of the Election Committee of the NPP, Peter Mac Manu.
However, in an interview on Accra based radio station Okay FM monitored by Voicefmonline.com, the deputy General Secretary, Lawyer Obiri Boahen says the party was not fair-minded to the TESCON members and therefore it will be suitable for them to go and express regret to them.
He further explained that it is going to be a big task for the party during campaign time if they do not go and make an apology to the TESCON members because they will need them at the University levels when campaigning.
He says the party cannot go and tell the TESCON members or ask them to help campaign in their various schools since they were barred from voting
