The Country Director for Praxis Africa, Tony Mensah-Mensah, has asked the Ghanaian authority to apply technology in waste management, as a way of dealing with filth.
According to him, with the application of modern technology, the difficulties associated with waste management will be dealt with.
Mr Mensah-Mensah explained on the ‘Sesa Wo Suban’ show on Accra100.5FM, a programme dedicated to sanitation which is hosted by Naa Atwei Oduro, on Wednesday, 31 October that countries that have been able to deal with filth and waste, applied technology to their efforts.
This, he said, has yielded remarkable results for these countries.
“We need to apply technology in waste management in Ghana,” he told Naa Atswei Oduro, adding that: “…Human waste, when properly treated, can be used as manure on our farms to increase yields.”
“This will benefit all of us if we do that,” he added.
