The member of parliament for Ketu South, Dzifa Gomeshi is callin the president of Ghana to apologize to the Chief of Aflao on his statement of him completing the E-block if he is frustrated.
If it will be recalled, Paramount chief and President of the Aflao Traditional Council, Togbui Fiti V has asked the Minister of Education to complete the abandoned E-block which has been left in the bush over years after the former president John Dramani Mahama couldn’t continue it before leaving power.
However, in response to that, the president has asked the paramount chief to complete the E-block if he can’t wait and besides he has no locus to instruct the Minister by giving him an ultimatum.
However, the MP said she is very disappointed in the President for addressing the Aflao Chief who tried putting the needs of his people before him in that way.
She explained that she doesn’t think the president would have addressed any Twi chiefs in that manner
She continued that, there was nothing wrong with what the Aflao chief said however the chief was only seeking development for his community so that they can benefit from the free Senior high school project which she thinks is a good call
She is therefore calling on the president to render an unqualified apology to the chief and the people of Aflao.
