Some irate youth of Anyinaso District in the Eastern Region are threatening to embark on a demonstration over the increasing rate of abortions in the area.
This was after a young female student is said to have aborted a six month old baby last Friday.
Spokesperson for the youth, Nana Dwomoh who spoke to Adom News said abortion is a taboo in the town but some young ladies have defied the rules, thus bringing abomination to the town.
Secretary to the Chief of Anyinaso, Nana Gyasi said the aborted feotus has been buried while the case has been reported to the police.
Police Inspector at Anyinaso, Francis Boateng who confirmed the incident to Adom News said they are yet to investigate the issue since the lady is nowhere to be found.
But the chief and elders of the town are working hard to prevent any commotion that may arise due to the intended demonstration.
