Ghana’s Supreme Court judge Justice Anin-Yeboah has been elected as chair of Fifa’s Disciplinary Committee.
He secured 98 per cent of votes to secure the appointment.
The Ghana Football Association confirmed this in a tweet on Thursday 11 May. “#FIFA has voted by 98% to appoint #Ghana’s Justice Anin Yeboah the Chairman of its Disciplinary Committee,” it wrote.
Justice Anin-Yeboah is among three justices tipped to become the next Chief Justice in the country following the retirement of the current CJ Justice Georgina Theodora Wood.
Before this feat, Justice Anin-Yeboah was a member of the FIFA Ethics Committee. He was on the Disciplinary and Appeals committees of the Ghana Football Association and also served on the Appeals Committee of the Confederation of African Football.
He will serve on the adjudicatory chamber of the FIFA Ethics committee for the next four years.
