President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo left Ghana Wednesday for the United Kingdom on a weeklong vacation.
This is the first vacation taken by the President since he was sworn-in on January 7.
A statement signed by Director of Communications at the Jubilee House, Mr Eugene Arhin said the President was accompanied by the First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, his children and grandchildren.
Whilst away, President Akufo-Addo will honour two public engagements
He will speak at the University of Oxford on Friday as part of its
2018 Africa Conference. The conference is on the theme “Enough Rhetoric! Catalysing an Era of Concrete Action”.
He is also expected to deliver the keynote address at the London Business School’s Africa Business Summit on Saturday.
The President will on Sunday attend the Anglican confirmation ceremony of his grandson, Louis, at his old school, Lancing College, in Sussex.
President Akufo-Addo is expected to return to Ghana on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.
In his absence, the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, shall, in accordance with Article 60(8) of the Constitution, act in his stead.
