Nana Akufo-Addo is starting a five-day campaign tour of the Ashanti Region today, Wednesday, 19 October.
The three-time flag bearer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), who recently returned from a four-day trip abroad, is expected to visit constituencies like Manhyia, Bosome-Freho, Adansi-Asokwa, New Edubiase and several others.
While in the party’s stronghold, Mr Akufo-Addo will be meeting with party supporters and sympathisers and drum home his message of hope and change.
He will also meet the traditional leaders of the predominantly Muslim settlements (zongos) in the Region.
In the last elections in 2012, Nana Akufo-Addo won 72% of the votes cast. In this year’s elections, the party is aiming and increasing that figure.
