The head coach of Ghana’s Under 17 side, the Black Starlets, Paa Kwesi Fabin, reacting to the 12th CAF U-17 draw, has said he does not expect an easy ride for Ghana in the competition.
Ghana have been drawn in the same group as hosts Madagascar, Guinea, and Cameroon for the 12th edition of the competition to be held from April 2-16, 2017.
Speaking to Class Sports, Paa Kwesi Fabin said: “You can’t say this [team] is qualifying or not. So far, as you have qualified, you must be ready for any challenge. The challenge is not going to be easy, looking at the teams. Our target now is to qualify and get to the World Cup.”
The Black Starlets qualified to the completion after beating Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast.
Ghana is yet to confirm the date for the commencement of preparation for the tourney in Madagascar.
