Ghana defender David Addy has not been in any contact with Polish giants Legia Warsaw, his agency, SEG Football, has said.
Initial media reports had claimed that the 2009 Ghana Under-20 World Cup-winning squad member had agreed terms and was on the verge of signing for Legia who finished second in the Polish Premier League last season.
Further reports claimed the Polish giants had rejected the chance to sign the 25-year-old left-back but Addy’s agents have swiftly denied any proposal or negotiations between the parties.
Addy in a reaction to supersport.com also described the claims of rejection by Legia as just “rumours” and reveals his “agents are busy” working on a transfer soon.
Addy, who has previously had stints with FC Porto and Vitoria Guimaraes, expects to join a new club before the European transfer window shuts after August 31 but his status as a free player allows him to sign for any club outside the window.
