Hip-life group 4X4 has revealed Jay Foley previously played a role as manager but there was no written contract between them.
The group parted ways with the radio and television presenter some time ago, but has disclosed there was no disagreement between them.
Speaking on Entertainment Capital on Accra100.5FM, 4×4 told host DJ Premier: “Jay Foley was playing the role of a manager but there was no pen on paper. He is a good friend who was very supportive and was trying to take the brand to another level but his job was not giving him the chance and time to handle us at the time and we also had personal [issues]. He later realised we were not ready and exited, but it was not a management contract or deal.”
The group, formed in the year 2000, has been one of the longest running musical groups in Ghana.
The award-winning group produced popular hit songs like Siklitele, World Trade Centre, HotGirls.Com, Waist & Power, and Yesi Yesi. 4×4 is out with a new single called Atongo. The group is made up of Captain Planet, Coded, and Fresh Prince.
