Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak split points at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi after the much-anticipated ‘Super-Clash’ ended in a 1:1 stalemate.
After an entertaining first half which ended goalless, Kwame Kizito put the Phobians ahead in the 57th minute and Sadick Adams equalized for Kotoko through a penalty in the 70th minute.
Both sides were determined to win the game and they came so close a couple of times, but the biggest chance of the match fell to Kotoko’s Sadick Adams in addd time, but he unbelievably failed to put the ball in an empty net, in what should have been the winning goal.
The result leaves Hearts and Kotoko at their respective positions on the league table; third and fourth, with Kotoko having a game in hand against WAFA.
