Vice-President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has applauded Ghanaian teenage swimmer Kaya Forson for representing Ghana at the 2016 Olympics, although she failed to qualify to the next stage of the competition.
“I am very proud of Ghanaian teenage swimmer Kaya Adwoa Forson for representing Ghana well at Rio 2016,” the vice-president tweeted on Tuesday August 8.

The 14-year old competed in the women’s freestyle swimming and got eliminated after finishing third in Heat 1 but made a personal best time of 2:16.02. She was the first Ghanaian to compete at the games.
Kaya said she was happy with the Olympic experience and promised to train hard for future events
