The campaign team of former flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kennedy Agyapong has thanked the party for the way and manner the internal polls were conducted.
The team said Mr Agyapong is full of appreciation to everyone who played a role in his historic candidacy for the flagbearership.
“Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong thanks members of his family for the enduring support; his campaign team for its hard work and dedication; his teeming supporters for their overwhelming love; the delegates who cast their votes, especially those who voted for him; the media for its coverage, his fellow aspirants, the leadership of the NPP including the Presidential Elections Committee, and His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his leadership.
“Above all, Hon. Ohene Agyapong further thanks the Almighty God for his guidance and protection throughout the campaign period as well as what is ahead.
“As Hon. Ohene Agyapong said in his concession speech, in which he accepted the results and congratulated Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his victory, the time has come for us all to unite and transfer the SHOWDOWN to the NDC.
“To those who might be let down by the result, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong wishes to lift their spirits by reminding them that we made history together and must rather bask in the solace that we sent a clear and unforgettable message to the party.
