Twenty-one of Ghana’s best brands under 21 different categories selected as “Top Quality Brands 2015” are to be recognised at an awards dinner later this month.
The prestigious “Brand Excellence Award” organised yearly by Premier Brands Ghana, seeks to reward excellence in branding in the country.
The selection of the 21 companies was based wholly on consumer assessments that border on quality, accessibility, overall market acceptability, longevity, goodwill, trust and satisfaction levels.
Orca Deco, DHL, Ghana Home Loans, Utrak Savings and Loans topped their categories as the best top quality brands in furniture and home decoration, the most reliable business brand, the best brand in mortgage finance and the top emerging brand respectively.
Other lucky winners are; Stanbic Bank, The Most Innovative Business Brand; Golden Bean Hotel, Kumasi, Top Quality Emerging Hotel in Customer Service and Comfort; Star Assurance, The Best Insurance Brand in Customer Care; Charter House, The Best Brand in Event Management & Promotion; Best Western Premier Hotel, Accra, Top Quality Hotel Brand in Customer Service and Comfort; Castle Bridge and Kaiser Aromatic Schnapps from GIHOC Distilleries, Top Quality Alcoholic Brands; Lonart Anti-Malaria, Top Quality Brand for Malaria Control and Cure; Starr FM, Top Emerging Brand in quality radio broadcasting; Daily Guide, Top Quality Brand in Private Press; and Chocho Industries, Top Quality Local Brand.
The rest are; Frytol Cooking Oil, Ghana’s Most Celebrated Brand; Shell, The Most Trusted and Respected Brand; Tigo, The Brand of the Year; uniBank Ghana, The Best Business Brand in Customer Service; Watatank, Top Quality Brand in Water Storage; and finally, Databank Financial Services Ltd, Top Quality Business Brand in Fund Management and Corporate Finance.
Chief Executive of Brands Company, Premier Brands, organisers of the awards, said a stringent criteria was followed in the selection process to enhance the integrity of the awards.
He expressed gratitude to Medlab Ghana Limited Melcom and Sasso Mosquito Repellent for supporting the awards event.
He said a lot more companies in Ghana are beginning to take branding more seriously.
Joy 99.7 FM was a recipient of an award at the maiden Super Brands awards ceremony, organised by Premier Brands.
