NSS Releases 2016/2017 Postings …

A statement signed by the Acting Executive Director,  Dr. Michael Kpessa-Whyte  says  the  service  personnel  who  have  been  deployed  to both  private  and  public  sectors  of  the  economy  are  Ghanaian graduates  from  137  tertiary  institutions  across  the  country  and  those  who have  completed  their  studies  abroad.

According  to  the  statement,  the  early  release  of  the  postings  is  to afford  prospective  service  personnel  sufficient  time  to  prepare  before they  take  up  their  postings  in  September,  2016.

It  is  also  to  offer  user agencies  sufficient  time  to  organize  in-service  orientation  and  training programmes  for  service  personnel  posted  to  their  outfits,  to  adequately prepare  them  both  physically  and  psychologically  to  take  up  the challenges  as  they  transit  from  school  life  into  the  world  of  work.

The  statement  advices  all  prospective  national  service  personnel to  visit  the  Scheme’s  website  by  logging  onto  www.nss.gov.gh  to  check their  placements.

Registration, according to the Secretariat,  begins  from  Monday,  11th  July, 2016  and  ends  on  Friday,  26th  August,  2016  at  all  National  Service Regional  offices  across  the  country.

The  statement  concludes  that  the  2016/2017  national  service begins  from  Thursday,  September 1,  2016.

It  says  Management  will  not encourage  change  of  postings;  and  therefore  urges  all  prospective national  service  personnel  to  be  prepared  to  accept  their  placements as  part  of  their  civic  responsibilities  and  contributions  towards  building  a prosperous  nation.
