The 2016 flag bearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, will celebrate Ghana’s 60th Independence Day anniversary with the Ghanaian community in Atlanta, Georgia, on 6 March.
Dr Nduom will be Special Guest of Honour at the event, which is being organised by the Ghana Council of Georgia and its member organisations under the theme “Ghana’s Independence: A Reflection”.
Dr Nduom will address the council members and later take part in a panel discussion at a business and economic forum.
The Ghana Council of Georgia is made up of Ghanaians and friends of Ghana in the American state of Georgia and surrounding States.
Other activities lined up for the occasion include panel discussions on “Youth in America and their future; Science & Technology; Business and the Economy and Political Leadership and Governance”.
There will also be a fundraising dinner, musical concert and trade conference between Ghana and the US.
Dr Nduom, who is the chairman of Groupe Nduom, owns businesses in the USA and was recently recognised for investing in banking in Chicago.
