Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has cautioned critics of President Nana Akufo-Addo to leave him alone.
The ‘Taking Over’ hitmaker in a 30-second video said the President’s critics must know that it is not easy to be president, adding that huge funds are needed to execute promises such as the one-village-one-dam and one-district-one-factory policies hence Ghanaians should stop the undue pressure they are mounting on Mr Akufo-Addo.
He advised the president not to be worried about such criticisms but rather relax and have fun with his family.
Speaking in Pidgin English, Shatta Wale said: “You think say ebi easy, you know how much dem dey take go dig dam before dem go do am? You think say ebi easy?” – to wit “Do you think it is that easy digging dams? Do you know how much goes into constructing dams?”
“Mr President, sit and drink some tea and eat some dinner with your wife and kids. You can fly to Miami and chill small and come back, don’t worry”.
Shatta Wale, who was crowned Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) in 2014 said he will personally go after the detractors of the president.
“Me, I go make sure say nobody go give my president pressure, if somebody give am pressure, I go come your house,” he added.
