The Government of Ghana has said it is looking forward to increasing bilateral trade relations with Turkey.
Trade volumes between Ghana and Turkey reached $400 million in 2015. Currently, Turkish exports to Ghana amount to $230 million with imports from Ghana reaching $170 million.
Speaking at the first Turkish fair in Accra, Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Ekow Spio-Garbrah said government hopes to increase the trade volume with Turkey which is the fourth largest trade partner in sub-Saharan Africa.
He noted that the fair would contribute to the expansion of economic and trade relations between the two countries.
